These figures are among the 1,000-plus items to be auctioned at the Soldiers National Museum in Gettysburg today and Saturday. They represent generals wounded in the Battle of Gettysburg. The Evening Sun in Hanover provided this piece of history from auctioneer Randy Dickensheets. When the museum opened in the 1950s, it was known as the Charley Weaver Museum of the Civil War. Actor Cliff Arquette was the first owner, and his TV name was assigned to the museum.  ‘One of the things he was most proud of was having his name on this museum,’ Dickensheets said. The museums doors closed on Nov. 2. Also, check out this Evening Sun slide show from the Remembrance Day Parade. Also of interest: Wax figures available as Gettsburg Heritage Center remodels.
